We tell you what you need to know, give you the important context and help each other understand.

0:15.0

Well, today, you've heard of vibe coding.

0:17.8

Now Google is introducing us to vibe design inside Stitch.

0:22.6

I think I can figure out what that means. I'm Jason Howell.

0:25.7

I'm in but now.

0:27.0

Let's start with what you need to know with a big story.

0:32.6

I don't think it's very difficult to figure out what that means. Google has revamped its stitch design tool,

0:39.2

bringing vibe coding to vibe design. Yes, that is using plain language and voice so that users can

0:47.7

describe their design goals, their moods, and then hopefully in return, they're going to get

0:53.8

some high fidelity, clickable

0:55.4

user interface, UI on an interactive and infinite canvas. So imagine Stitch interviewing or,

1:05.5

you know, kind of talking back and forth, chatting back and forth with a designer on what

1:09.5

they're looking to accomplish with a particular design. And then that followed by a few, you know, maybe it's proposing a few

1:16.7

layouts, a few user experience pathways that they can explore, all in an effort to kind of like

1:22.9

iterate on that over the course of the conversation, the vibing, if you will. Google is also wiring

1:29.1

these capabilities into the agenic ecosystem. Yes, there's an SDK, also an MCP server, so that it

1:37.1

can appear inside other tools like cursor, like Claude Code, Gemini, CLA, that sort of stuff.

1:44.0

And there's also a useful design.md markdown file, of course, that makes export and import of the design rules relatively painless and easy.

1:55.0

I've never done it before. I can't speak to that myself, but it sounds like it's, you know, it's the sort of thing that makes important export a lot easier. The update is free within Google Labs, at least for right now. Who knows, maybe it, you know, ends up being part of an ultra subscription somewhere down the line, but Google didn't actually mention that. Just kind of guessing right now, because once it's in Google labs, it's kind of like they're playing around with it. It hasn't been elevated into like a prime time thing yet that remains to be seen. It is important to note

2:23.4

that the release of Stitcher, or sorry, not Stitcher, Stitch appears to be having an immediate impact

2:30.0

on Figma, at least as relates to its stock performance, 8% drop on the news.
