You know who's probably not having a great Monday? Google.

That's because the company's been hit with a lawsuit from the U.S. Department of Justice.

Yes, if you're keeping track, this would be the second antitrust federal complaint filed against the tech behemoth. The first suit was filed in 2020 and focused on Google's monopoly as a search

engine, according to Reuters. You might say this latest lawsuit is same-old same-o, but this suit

is all about the $250 billion U.S. digital ad market, and how Google allegedly monopolizes that, too.

The DOJ said Google has, quote, corrupted legitimate competition in the ad tech industry, end

quote. The department says it did this by season control of ad tools used by publishers, brokers,

and, of course, advertisers. It also accused Google of trying to eliminate tech competitors by

acquiring them and forcing publishers and advertisers
