After years of scrutiny into big tech, something is finally happening.

Last year, the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission open antitrust

investigations of Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Apple. And now a lawsuit against

Google is likely to be the first real action taken against big tech.

So the Department of Justice is planning to file a lawsuit against Google any day now.

What exactly are they claiming Google has done?

So we don't know the details of the lawsuit until it's filed, but we know that generally they're expected to

accuse Google of trying to disadvantage its competitors like Microsoft's

Bing, which is another search engine, by you know not sharing data with them and the data that other

companies need to thrive. We also know that they're looking into their search

advertising so Google you know controls the sale of both

that tools that people use to buy ads

as well as the actual space under the searches.

So that could be a conflict of interest at the Justice Department accused Google of.

So what exactly is at stake here for Google?

Obviously they're going to throw every lawyer and lobbyist and smart person they have there

at this lawsuit.

But what are the stakes for one of the world's biggest tech companies?
