Shares of Google hire after announcing a quantum computing breakthrough, adding to buzz for the

stock after reports the companies in talks with Anthropic on a multi-billion dollar cloud deal.

Yeah, it really has been. I was talking to one Google investor this morning, Carl. He told me

that the quantum breakthrough isn't what's driving the stock,

it's the bigger signal here.

The Google is starting to show signs of real innovation instead of just copying OpenAI's

playbook.

And that sense of momentum comes after a volatile 24 hours for Google shares, where two major

AI headlines essentially netted each other out.

So first, you had shares fall after

open AI unveiled its new Atlas browser. That threatens Google's ad business, which still drives

the bulk of Alphabet's revenue, and then shares bounce back on reports that Google is in talks

for a cloud deal with Anthropic worth tens of billions of dollars, a potential win on the infrastructure

side.

Now, it's maybe the clearest sign yet that investors are no longer trading Google just on

search dominance or ad strength, but on whether it can lead in AI across both enterprise

and consumer and even in quantum.

Now, on the enterprise side, AI infrastructure is becoming a real bright spot for them.

Google Cloud landed that $10 billion deal with Meta, and Wells Fargo this morning called

Anthropics shift toward TPUs a clear positive for Google's silicon strategy.

But on the consumer side, the threat is growing.
