Hey, remember Google Glass?

Back in 2013, Google announced it had created a revolutionary product, an augmented reality headset, a wearable computer with the power to change the world.

Alphabet, Google's parent company, launched Google Glass with all the fanfare one would

expect of a company racing into

the future. Time magazine called the soon-to-be-released Glass one of the best innovations of the year,

and then the glass shattered. The glasses were expensive and buggy, and they solved a problem

how to wear a computer on your face that no one had. Furthermore,

glass featured a tiny video camera right there in the lens prompting privacy concerns. The

glass quickly became the object of ridicule. It was parodied on The Simpsons and the Daily Show.
