A scathing report from the House Foreign Affairs

Committee slams President Biden's handling of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan

accusing him of prioritizing politics over national security.

Meanwhile, Democrats on the committee call the report politically motivated.

The 350-page document accuses President Biden of ignoring advice for military officials, U.S.

allies, and the Afghan government in his determination to end the 20-year war.

The report says the Biden administration misled the public about the Taliban's compliance with the Doha Agreement

while disregarding key details of the accord. Democrats in response put out their own report.

Congressman Gregory Meix argued that the GOP report is politically motivated coming out days before a presidential debate and that it ignored former President Trump's role in starting the withdrawal process.

Committee Chairman Michael McCall said his report would have been out sooner if his investigation

had not been obstructed.
