What's happening in New Zealand today?

The Prime Minister, so we have the school lunch program and they contracted it out.

The new government contracted it out to some kind of low cost private providers saying

that the old government was spending too much on it.

But the old, but the new providers are basically providing inedible meals and non-halal meals to Muslim students and that

kind of thing.

And the Prime Minister just said, if you don't like the meals, then you can make your kids

a marmite sandwich.

And for Americans, it might not know what marmite is.

What is marmite?

It's like a black sludge that we put on bread.

It sounds like a very American reaction from the Prime Minister of New Zealand.

Yeah, he's just like, you know, so we fucked up.

I just think you need to extend that logic to everything else that like that's not

working like the health systems kind of in crisis like well you don't you want to receive medical

care then get a first aid certificate it's really just like this is your fault that we've fucked up

why don't you fix it it's a real attitude that it is it's very It's very American. It's a very American attitude, it feels like.
