I'm Paul Sheer and this is the podcast where every week we watch one film from the AFI's top 100 list of greatest films of all time to see if they are really as good as people say.

Do they hold up and how have they influenced the films that we watch today?

Today we're going to be talking about the Martin Scorsese film Goodfellas.

But last week we talked about a silent film classic in tolerance.

And I really want to get into this with you Amy because people love this movie.

But before we get into even that I want to remind everybody that next week we are doing another live unspooled on YouTube for the film and Amy I'll let you announce it.

I'm so so excited if we're going to do that movie and who knows.

I want to start actually by reading a comment from Jason Vibone because he wrote something I really love he said you know what.

Thank you for the Todd Browning mentioned we mentioned that tell Browning the director who would go on to do freaks helped write the movie.

He said says Jason he is also may marshes driver in the 1915 segment which I did not appreciate in that a year before he had been in a notorious car wreck that killed him in.

So Jason believes that Griffith may have been drawing on that scandal by casting Todd as the driver.

Oh interesting.
