Hey out alive listeners, I have some news to share that's bittersweet.

I'll be leaving Outside Inc and as a result of my departure the show will be going on an indefinite hiatus.

I'm humbled by the privilege I've had to share these stories.

From the beginning we set out to create a show

that gave survivors a space to share their own experiences while offering important

context and expert advice.

I'm proud of the stories we've told here

and so grateful to each of you for listening.

But fear not, the spirit of Out Alive lives, and who knows what exciting adventures the future holds.

I also want to say a huge thank you to my team, Outalive's co-producer Zoe Gates, our assistant producer Emma Vate, our composer

Jason Patton, and all of my many colleagues here at Backpacker and outside who have

sent us stories and supported the show the last five years.

Thank you for all your support, your enthusiasm, and for being an incredible audience.

I encourage you to continue exploring the great outdoors while taking the
