Well, hello there. Hello and welcome, history friend, to a episode which, well, as you can probably tell by the title, is here for one reason and one reason only for me to say goodbye for the foreseeable future. I don't want to give you any kind of sense of doom. I think there's enough of that going on at the

moment, but it would just be unrealistic for me to promise any kind of imminent return or any kind of

attempt to keep to a consistent schedule. If you weren't aware, Anna is 39 weeks pregnant. Baby is

due perhaps any day.

So we are at that stage where, you know, you buy a carton of milk and the due date is beyond the actual date of the baby.

That's where we are now.

So, yeah, things are really into crunch time.

But look, everything is going as well as could possibly be expected.

The bags are all packed.

They're all in the car.

Everything is bought up and ready.

We are drowning in baby clothes.

Everything is literally prepared.

I've gotten all those cute bits of knitware from different relatives. So yeah,

we literally have everything we could possibly need. So in that sense, we are truly blessed and I am

really, really excited. And also, of course, a bit terrified. I know that when people ask me how I do

this show or they've asked me how I do it in the past,

I have always said, oh, it's because I have the time, and I never quite understood really why it would be so difficult to keep it going.

But, geez, since I started my full-time job as a researcher for the Rediscovery Center,

I have really come to understand the grind and

difficulty of doing something else other than sleeping and relaxing and staring into space when

the weekend comes around. Like working that 9 to 5 Monday to Friday means there's very little time left
