back to the show for one of your many times on. How you doing? Hi, Shannon. Thank you so much

for having me on. It has been a really long time since I've been on the mic with you for

Fluently Forward. I missed the

days, you know, when we would be Patreon co-hosts. But this is honestly the perfect topic for you and I

to jump on about Hillary Duff. So I'm really excited. Thank you so much for having me.

I knew I had to have you on for this because I feel like we have different similar, but also different pop culture interests, which is always fun to talk about. And you know Hillary Duff and Mary Kate and Ashley Olson so much better than I ever could. Also like everything with true crime. I knew the Disney Channel younger era really well. And I feel like something I have on you that you don't have on me is a disgusting

amount of knowledge about YouTubers. And then you have reality TV. So we kind of balance each other out.

And not only do you have knowledge about Hillary Duff, but you saw her recently in Vegas, right? How was it?

Yeah. I saw her on Valentine's Day. She was, it was in the small room's big nerves tour.

And I think at that point she had probably done maybe four or five shows beforehand.

But the production of the show was awesome.

I met a baby snark when I was in line, which was really cool.

I feel like when it comes to artists like Hillary Duff or Ashley Simpson,

who I interestingly enough also saw in that same venue in Vegas,

just a couple months prior, is they bring up such a nostalgic, simpler time in our lives as millennials.

And being, you know, in my 30s and growing up with Lizzie McGuire and making the decision to study abroad in Rome

because of the Lizzie McGuire movie and just following her every track.

And her being really so impactful to my childhood, it felt so cathartic to show up to a show where she was singing her old hits.

And you had a crowd full of girls and gays just screaming at the top of their lungs.

There was something truly healing about that experience.
