Friday began just after midnight, with Jesus being arrested in the garden of Gethsemane.

Under the dark of night, Jesus was first taken to the House of Annas for interrogation and then

sent bound in chains to Caiaphas, a high priest, where the Jewish Sanhedrin had gathered.
