Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Jesus asked St. Faustina to begin a novena to the divine mercy on Good Friday and concluding

on the first Sunday after Easter, Divine Mercy Sunday. The novena consists of a prayer for each day which we will include

into the fifth decade of our rosary meditation and then immediately following the rosary in place of our conversation,

we will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplin.

By his death and resurrection Jesus saved the world. But have you ever wondered, why did God wait so long after humanity fell to send the Savior. Well, we thought we could do it on

our own. So let's see how that worked out.

After 20 generations of man making a mess out of the world

by his pride and hatred and bloodshed resulting

in a catastrophic flood and the division in isolation of the nations,

God calls Abraham who had a son, Isaac.

And Isaac and Rebecca have Jacob.

Jacob has 12 sons through four different women, not a good idea.

Ten of those conspire to kill the youngest Joseph, and it ends with Joseph in Egypt. Genesis ends with all 12 tribes in

Egypt and when the book of Exodus opens we find that Israel's been enslaved

for 400 years.

For we are enslaved to self-destructive tendencies,

but we won't admit it.

Through Moses, God set Israel free.

Joshua takes them into the promised land

and through the time of the judges they win and build the promised land.
