We are in just a little bit going to take the elements of communion together.

Before we do, I'm going to read the passage of the crucifixion, just in part, three

verses to be exact, out of the Gospel of Luke

Chapter 23. The Gospel of Luke chapter 23. It actually begins, the crucifixion story begins in

Luke 23, in verse 33, but we're going to begin in verse 44 in just a bit. You know, throughout history,

God has spoken. He has been in the broadcasting business, broadcasting his will, revealing who he is.

That's the premise that the book of Hebrews begins with. It tells us, God who

at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to our fathers by the prophets,

has spoken. God has been speaking from the beginning. And he's been speaking in two primary ways.

God has spoken through his world, creation, the natural order of things, and he has spoken in his word.

That's special revelation.

His world is general revelation.

You look around, you see design, and so you naturally think there must therefore be a designer.

That's why Roman says they are without excuse,

because God has revealed himself through his world.

But then when he wants to be very specific, he uses his word.

So Psalm 19 talks about both types of revelation.

It says, the heavens declare the glory of God.

The firmament shows his handiwork.

Day into day, they utter their speech.
