of the grave. Good evening. Welcome to our Good Friday service. I'm glad that you made time out of your day,

out of your evening to celebrate this, to commemorate this day with your church family. We're going to be

in a minute in, well, you can turn to the gospel of John, if you have your Bibles, John Chapter 15.

Let me ask you a question.

How do you demonstrate your love?

And you don't have to answer out loud.

I'm not going to call in anybody, but I'll answer for some of you.

Some of you will demonstrate your love by looking someone in the eye and giving them a heartfelt.

I love you. You mean a lot to me. Others of you will write a card or send a gift.

This last week, my wife was visiting her mother in Michigan,

so when she got there, I sent flowers to her, to Linya, my wife, but I didn't send her the flowers that are her

favorite flowers. I sent her my favorite flowers, which are tulips, because I wanted her to be

reminded of me while she's back there. So kind of an awkward, weird demonstration of my love in a selfish kind of a way, right?

Well, Roman says that God demonstrates his love for us in that while we were still sinners,

Christ died for us.

And you know, John 316, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only, or only
