I'm Steve Fielder.

I'm a hound hunter from the hills and hollows of southern West Virginia.

I retired in October 2011 from the American Kennel Club,

where I served as assistant vice president and field director in the seven years that I was there.

I also served as senior vice president of both the United Kennel Club and the professional Kennel Club in my 33-year career with the nation's largest purebred dog registries.

I've also written a book about my experiences in a 33-year career with dogs titled

Gone to the Dogs, a coon hunter's journey.
