Bill Vamastic had spent his entire life working to build a future for his family, so he could

one day enjoy his retirement with his wife Lee.

But after 42 years of marriage, in 1994, Bill lost the love of his life to cancer.

It was a rough year, but by the summer of 1995, the 67-year-old was finally feeling like himself again,

and had joined a group of friends on an expedition to Alaska.

Just one week after returning from that trip, Bill disappeared.

There was a note on the table that said, gone fishing to Montana, love dad.

Sharon Bevins lights up whenever she talks about her parents, Lee and Bill Vamastic.

That was love at first sight, and she was his world.

You know, everything he did was for her.

And then when my brother Jim and I came along, you know, everything was for the family.

Her dad also had a passion for motorcycles, specifically Harley Davidson's.

Sharon said soon after her parents met, he was involved in a serious accident.

Dad was at an intersection and some lady came through and smashed into him.

He was in the Belcher Hospital probably for a year and a half.

She really did a bad job on his leg.
