Hello and welcome to the game theory offseason preview series where Bryce Simon and I

break down all 30 NBA teams forthcoming NBA Summers. Today we're talking about the Golden

State Warriors, a team that is trying to hang on to a dynasty of the past while also trying

to at least position itself reasonably well to move into a new future era.

To me, Bryce, it's always about like you can't really go half measures in today's NBA.

The New York Knicks are a prime example of this.

They decided to move all those picks from McHale Bridges.

Of course they do.

I totally understand why they decided to do that

because it led to a title, right? And, you know, it led to the ultimate glory, right? So,

the Warriors have never really been willing to do that. Even during the 2020 era before they

won that final title.

Guys like James Wiseman that they selected at number two overall that they thought would take

them into a new era, keeping the Brandon Pajemski picks, keeping the pick for Moses Moody,

obviously.

Like they do just generally, Jonathan Cominga as well as a prime example of this.

They like to play the two eras timeline here, the two timelines ideal.

And I think that it's just really difficult to do that.

And now it has them kind of in no man's land, if I'm being honest, Bryce, where I think that they're in

a really challenging position with their roster aging without wanting to move anybody on the

roster, where I kind of think that they're really aiming for like a home run this summer that

may or may not come and we'll talk about it.
