If I sound a little rushed,

it's because this weekend, George, English football,

went goal crazy, 102 across the three

divisions. We spoke on Sky on Friday night about how few goals there'd been, how much rust on show

in the final third on opening weekend. And the rust has gone now. The defensive errors remain.

It was a hell of a weekend across all three leagues.

Yeah, I said to someone in the week that

lockdown, the football that happened at the end of last season,

I really enjoyed and the lack of fans didn't really make any impact.

For some reason last weekend, I felt for the first time like it did,

and I now think it was

just because there weren't very many goals, because this weekend was great again, and not

much change.

Obviously, there were a thousand fans in seven stadiums, which was great, but the return of

the goals surprisingly brought back a return of the good feeling, and I hope the rest of

the season transpires to be kind of an average of
