thank you for listening to this year podcast as we delve into the calendar of 2026 with our most anticipated and

least anticipated movies of the year. I'm your host, Brian Gill, joined as always by my lovely co-host,

Kent Garrison and Richard Barden. How are we doing, fellows? I'm doing great. I'm just recovering from that weird UFC moment at the Golden Globes. I don't know what that was, trying to get, promote a fight or something, but Golden Globes is a bit off the rails this year, but, you know, it's off the rails most years. I don't know. It's weird when it's not.

Yeah.

New network, you know.

That's true.

It's one of those very effective things where it went away for like what a year or two,

at least a televised version during COVID or something.

And there was some scandal about.

And then came back, new network and people now take it seriously again.

It's like they forgot.

Like this is not.

It doesn't matter.

It sucks for me.

We've done this rant before, but for new listeners, I feel in the modern construct of whatever

the entertainment business is or is going to be over the next few years, the Globes is actually the most uniquely positioned to be a great thing because it's, you know,

the lines between these mediums gets, gets more and more narrow. And to their credit,

they're doing things like, you know, pot, I say this on a podcast, but podcasts are a big part

of culture now. I think it's cool to have a best

podcast winner. And I think it's cool to have the honor the best stand-up of the year and the kind of idea of the content awards that we've always talked about, the prestige of the Oscars, but with everything. But then they do the podcast award. I love Amy Poehre. That's a great show. And she probably deserve to win, but she also won because she's host the Golden Globes five times.

Right.
