I'm Carrie Dordy. And today we're bringing you another Golden Rewind where we go back and

rewatch our favorite episodes of the Golden Girls and offer new insights since we first started

breaking down these episodes way back in 2014. And it's time to put on some Ponce de Leon anti-aging cream into the hokey pokey

because we just rewatched season six, episode 18, older and wiser.

Older and wiser, everything's falling apart.

This episode is not on my regular rotation.

But it is a good one.

I'm just going to say the one thing I love most about this episode is that in the history of the Golden Girls, poor Dorothy, her looks are always the butt of the joke.

Every joke.

Everybody is always giving her shit and saying things about her looks.

And in this episode, she finally gets to look at Blanche and Rose and make fun of them for their

looks, for their hands, for their face. And I was like, this feels good for Dorothy. You can tell

she really, like, love that. But also, too, I love any episode where we get a shocked Blanche. When Blanche is fully surprised by something that she,

that she was expecting one thing and another thing happens, the guttural shock that comes from

that woman is just, it's just, it's perfect. And I love it every time.
