This is one of those cases, bully where it's like the old Gilbrand story.

Gil Brand, who has worked with the Cowboys for decades and decades, told me this great story of, you know, this bus driver picks the Cowboys on the team bus to take them to the Meadowlands where they're facing the New York Giants.

And the bus driver gets lost on his way from Manhattan to East Rutherford, New Jersey.

And Tom Landry sitting in the front seat, very impatient, fiddling with his watch, wondering, like, you know, we were supposed to hit the field, like, what's going on here?

And then the bus driver driving around in circles. like, you know, we were supposed to hit the field, like what's going on here?

And then the bus driver driving around in circles.

Tom Landry taps the bus driver on the shoulder and says, maybe you need to ask for some help.

And this is long before there was cell phones.

So the bus driver pulls over to the first pay phone he sees.
