Hi everyone, I'm Joanna, and this is hyphenated, the podcast about living in the hyphen.

Now, I actually have two very special guests with me today, and when I asked them to join me on this podcast,

the first thing they said was, I mean, I don't know, I don't know if

we're the most hyphenated people in the world. I mean, we're pretty American, but, you know,

we've sort of expanded the definition of what hyphenated means on this podcast, and I think

these guys are some of the most hyphenated people I've met, especially when it comes to their

art and their careers. So the Gregory Brothers are an American musical group that has become super, super famous for their

comedy music videos on their YouTube channel, Shmo Yoho.

Now, I'm going to list some of the viral songs and videos that they've created over the past

decade, and I can guarantee you, you've heard of at least two.

Minimum, minimum.

So the bed intruder song, hide your kids, hide your wife, the double rainbow song,

the songify the news where presidential debates were auto-tuned and edited.

And more recently, over the past year, the iconic,

Chrissy, wake up, I don't like this. I can't say it without singing it. And of course,

the It's Corn, that wonderful song that has brightened up our lives and days for the past few weeks.

So they have single-handedly created a new genre of comedy and music,

which I think perfectly encapsulates our time,

where the internet is a canvas for many,

and it's also revolutionizing the way that we create art and react to art.
