My name is Jeff Glockman along with my coworker, Jordan Bianchi.

We are motorsport writers to the athletic, and we're here to talk about the regular season finale,

the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Jordan, you are live on site.

Technically, the race was yesterday since you were in the wee hours of Labor Day there.

But you're not going to have to labor to talk about this race because this was a gem.

This was the kind of race where you go, oh, yeah, this is why NASCAR, NASCAR at its best is pretty damn good.

This was a fantastic show, thrilling, everything you'd want out of the regular season finale.

Great stuff.

Jordan, you were there to witness it.

What did you make of the whole night?

Wow.

I don't even know where to start.

I guess the thing that comes to mind is we talked, we've talked so extensively on the show

about how Daytona is the great regular season finale and how it's the ideal track

that's got this unpredictability.

No offense to Darlington.

You just don't have that.

You don't see surprise winners here.

There are no upsets. You kind of know who the group of winners is probably going to be from a group of like six,
