Obviously, there's so much going on in the world right now. We've been covering the Supreme Court, and there's a war in Ukraine. And one of the things that I think is great to do with this podcast is sort of hit the pause button and talk about something that is also happening in the world that may become very consequential down the road. And we don't want to overlook it and say, gee, I wish we had covered that story

when there was still time to make a difference in it. And this podcast is one of those stories.

So Lisa, I'm going to let you introduce yourself and tell everybody what you are working on

and what you're so passionate about. Thanks, Martha. So my name is Lisa Leno's. I live in the state

in New Hampshire for the better part of the last 20 years, I have been working on trying to raise awareness regarding the harmful effects of large-scale renewable energy, in particular wind energy. And now we're seeing expansive development of solar energy.

And the large scale amount of land that's required for these projects,

the environmental impacts, the harms of building these projects close to where people live.

And now within the last few years, we're seeing a tremendous push by the federal government,

by coastal states to see wind energy

built in our ocean waters. And there, what we're identifying is our significant conflicts

with regard to the use of that area and the industrial, what it will mean to industrialize our ocean waters.

Okay. So let me just jump in there for one second, if I may. So, you know, in the larger context,

we are looking at a situation where gas prices are going through the roof. We hear the president

and other government officials saying, look, we need to move away from fossil

fuels. We need to move away. We can't build more refineries. We want to move in the direction of green
