Amen. Amen. And good morning and welcome. You can be seated. So glad you're here today.

Those of you online, we're so glad that you're joining with us as well.

We are currently going through the Book of Revelation chapter by chapter, verse by verse.

And we finished chapter four last week week so chapter five comes after chapter four

that's the most profound point I have in the whole sermon so we're going to pick it up

in chapter five the first seven verses will be our text and I'll ask you if you're able

to stand you can follow along as I read. If not,

no worries where you're seated is fine. John now is inspired by the Holy Spirit and writing that

which he's told to write this after being caught up to heaven. He's in heaven now. And in chapter 4 verse 1, he heard

the command of the sound of a trumpet come up here. And from chapter 4 verse 1 on through to the end

of the book is all yet future, meaning that we are

today as we stand here in this church today, and for those of you online, we are still living

in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. That's the present. Chapter 4 verse 1 is future. Chapters 4 and 5, we get a magnificent glimpse of what John sees in

heaven. And so we're going to see something very interesting today. Let's begin reading in verse 1.

Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed

with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice,

who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll? But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it.

I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

Then, verse 5, one of the elders said to me, do not weep.

See, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, is triumphed.

He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.
