And I'm Antonia Dodge. So we are continuing our series, a short series of goddesses in every woman and

gods in every man. We are on a second podcast talking about the gods in every man.

This comes from a book of the same name by Jean Shinoda Bolin and we've

been talking for the last several episodes about the different archetypes that show up

as feminine and masculine energies in people's lives often you know in women's lives the

feminine archetypes show up and in men's lives the masculine archetypes show up and

today we're going to start talk continue talking if you remember from last

podcast we talked about the three

father god energies of Zeus Poseidon and Hades and in this episode we're going to

start in on the Sun God Arquotipes Sun S-U-S-O-N-G-O-N-G-R-E-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-E-S-O-N-G-E-T-E-S-O-N-G-E-T about two of them in this episode here but before we do let's give a quick

framework for the Sun God archetypes. Basically there's three broad brush

categories of the Sun Gods and these all the Sun Gods are Sons of Zeus from last episode.

So you know we talked about Zeus in last episode I mean and you could you could categorize

the Sun Gods into three broad categories of favorite sons,

rejected sons, and the ambivalently viewed sun.

There's one of them. So favorite sons are Apollo and Hermes. We're going to talk about those two

archetypes today. The rejected sons are Ares and Hephaestus and the ambivalently viewed son is Dionysus.

So the characteristics of the favored sons are very much like Zeus.

And the reason why is because all of these Sun Gods,

S-O-N, are from Zeus in one way or another.

So Apollo and Hermes were both direct children of Zeus and so was Ares.
