My grandfather was a great country cook, and his pride in joy was his cast iron skillet.

He used it to cook everything, and I loved watching him season it up and cook with it,

clean it, and then oil it up for the next meal.

For decades of use, the carbon buildup became shiny black and hard as diamonds.

But I recently found another old cast iron skillet in his cabin, but this one was rusted
