And now with today's study, here's Pastor Chuck. And even so, wise.

Now, in our King James, you notice must their wives is added. Because the translators thought

that he was probably referring to the wives of the deacons,

which is possible, but it is also possible that Paul is just referring to the deaconesses

and that this is in reference to those women who would take a activity within the church body in the office of a deaconess.

And so also wives are to be grave, not slanders, sober, faithful in all things.

And let the deacons be the husbands of one wife,

ruling their children in their own house as well.

For they that have used the office of a deacon well,

purchased to themselves a good degree

and great boldness in the faith,
