Hi moms, I'm going to talk to you today about a difficult subject, and I hope that you

can bear with me for a couple of minutes and open up your Bibles to the book of James.

I want to talk to you about suffering today. It's been a difficult month. I won't lie

to you for our family. We've had some very difficult situations that we've walked through

and some that we have watched our daughter walk through. Earlier this month, a young

mom lost her newborn baby. Actually, he was still born, and he was full term, and it was

right before our daughter, Savannah, gave birth to her little guy, Noah. And then right after

Noah was born, maybe a week and a half after Noah was born, another dear friend of ours lost

her baby in labor also. And it was a difficult thing to walk through with my daughter as she

grappled with the questions that we often grapple with, why them and not me. Why do bad things happen

to good people? And I've been thinking about suffering a lot, and what the Bible has to say

about suffering. And I think as believers, we need to remember that God is working in the midst

of pain. God is working. And it is the job of the Christian to become more like Jesus. In the book
