Well, what God is actually doing is in the mental and the emotional. God is training your nervous system. Let's get into it. Hey, y'all, welcome to the Christian Bay TV and podcast where Christ and Cultureletcher Connect. I pray this you guys, I have on a wonderful day. As you guys see from the title, today we're talking about God is training your nervous system. And we're coming from the book of life, but we're also coming from the book of Luke chapter two versus one through 21. So grab your journal. Now, I know I always say I'm really excited to give you all this word, but I'm really excited to give y'all this word because I know that there's not a lot of talk about this or a lot of teaching on this. And I wish that somebody would have helped me understand this because I can remember being in seasons where it's just like, well, God, what are you doing? Like, what do you want me to do next? I feel like I did the last thing that you called me to do and now I'm just sitting here.

And I understand being in a waiting season, but sometimes even when you're in the waiting season, it seems like God wants you to do something or it seems like God is trying to do something in the waiting season. But then you don't know what that is. Like God, what do you want me to do while I wait. What do you want me to do? I did the last step. I'm staying in a position.

I'm praying. I'm fasting. So what else needs to happen before you release what you said you're

going to release? And the part of the process that we oftentimes skip over and don't talk about

is the nervous system. Your nervous system is a part of the process in you becoming who God is calling you to be.

See, a lot of times we feel like, okay, God, give me the word and you tell me to do this, I did it. You told me to cut that person off, I cut them off. You told me to start the business, I started it. You told me to put up the website, I put it up. You told me to move, I moved. Now God, why doesn't it feel like I'm walking in what you promised me?

God, why don't I see your word and it's because your worry is overriding God's will?

God does not just want you to be in position for what he has promised you. He wants you to be in perfect peace while you're in position. But you can't be in perfect peace if anxiety is having its way with you. You can't be in perfect peace if you up at night and can't sleep. You can't be in perfect peace if you're stressed because you don't know what it is that God wants you to do next. And the trick of the enemy and wise to see is the fact that you can have every other box check. You pray, you go to church, you fast, you read your word, you read your devotional. You're intentional with doing what it is that God has

called you to do. But it still seems like God has not done anything. It still seems like God is not moving.

God is training your nervous system. That is the part of you that still needs work. Because once you do

everything that God has called you to do, you don't know how to rest. You don't know how to sit and wait in peace.

There's two type of postures that you can have while you wait. You can wait and worry or you can wait in peace and know that God, I know that you're going to do what you said you were going to do. Even if it doesn't happen right now, I'm good. I'm good because I know I know you on your way. yesterday I was driving and I had my little cousin in the back seat of my car and while I was

driving something happened I don't know if somebody like swerved in my lane or I had to like slam on brace because the light change really quick. But something happened that had me like, oh, like they out here driving crazy, right? And so when I did that, I looked in the backseat at my little cousin and his grandma got him

a cell phone. Y'all, he was in backseat like this.

Y'all, he was in a back seat like this on his phone, like not having a care in the world.

He didn't know what had just happened and how I had to like jerk the car out or like, you know,

okay, these people driving crazy.

He didn't know any part of the

process and how I was protecting him in the backseat because he was resting in perfect peace
