Ephesians chapter four.

Our text will be verses 25 through 32.

We'll finish the chapter today.

I'll have you turn there if you're not there already and once you do if you're able.

I'll ask you to stand.

You can follow along as I read.

Beginning of verse 25, the Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit is writing and says,

therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

In your anger, do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. And do not give the devil a foothold.

Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands that they may have

something to share with those in need. Do not, verse 29, let any unwholesome talk come out of your

mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs

that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander along with every form of malice. And then lastly, verse 32, be kind and compassionate to one another,

forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Would you pray with me, we'll ask God's blessing on our understanding.

Loving Heavenly Father,

it's with great anticipation that we're here today, longing more than anything, to hear you speak into our lives very practically, very personally, and even very powerfully.

Lord, will you, as we now give you our undivided attention, keep our attention by the

Holy Spirit so that there's no distraction that would cause us to have our

minds wander and miss what it is that you desire to minister to us. Lord, thank you. Speak, Lord. Your servants are listening. We ask this in Jesus
