Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters for devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you. We are picking up with the new

devotion on the Bible title double blessing by Mark Batterson. If my memory serves me right, I think he wrote the circle

maker, like the book about prayer. And so excited about this one, there's a link

to it in the description if you guys want to fall along and

the scriptures actually all up in this one so I'm just going to take from here. The

devotional is titled Original Blessing and it says this,

The Austrian psychologist Alfred Adler

was famous for beginning counseling sessions

with new clients by asking,

what is your earliest memory?

No matter how his patient replied, Adler responded,

and so life is.

Adler believed that our earliest memories leave a profound imprint on our souls.

Imagine him sitting down with the first Adam and asking his trademark

question. Adam's early memories range from rib surgery to roaming the garden and then of course there was the awkwardness of

nakedness after succumbing to the servant's temptation and I'm sure subsequent

nightmares of being naked in public but none of those moments represent Adam's earliest memory.

God bless them and said in Genesis 128, be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and govern it,

rain over the fish in the sea,

the birds in the sky, and all the animals

that scurry along the ground.

Before original sin, there was original blessing. That's good and so life is. That first
