So Thursday night, we actually last Thursday started the book of Lamentations having completed

the book in Jeremiah, but we're going to take a break from that and we're going to have

Pastor Bud Stonebreaker here and both he and I are going to share the stage together

and have a discussion about that which is on the

prophetic horizon.

So that'll be 7 p.m. on Thursday night.

If you want, you might want to make a note of it and make plans to attend, really looking

forward to it.

So in the following week, of course,

we'll resume our study through Lamentations. I'm chuckling because those of you who were here

Thursday night for Lamentations 1 know why I'm chuckling. What a book, right? I know I say that

about every book, but wow. Anyway, who knew? Lamentations.

Just that. Anyway, so that's Second Peter is the book we're in now. Wow, what a book, right?

We're actually going to start the last chapter of 2 Peter, and our text is just going to be

chapter 3 verses 1 and 2, just 2 verses.

I think you'll see why here in a moment.

So for those of you that are able, I'll ask you to stand.

If not, where you're seated is fine, but you can follow along as I read. The Apostle Peter,

inspired by the Holy Spirit writes, verse one. Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you.

I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking.

I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.
