Good morning everyone and welcome back to another Mornings with the Masters. We're

re-devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning, you guys. Good morning

indeed. We're picking up with day 17 of our 21 days of discipleship devotional. In

the Bible app, there's a link to that in the description if you guys want to

follow along with us. And as always, I'm going to read the scripture and

it's going to pick up with the divot. Let's do it. The scripture is John chapter 17

verse 11 and it says this. Now I am departing from the world. They are staying in

this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name.

Now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we

are. The devotional is titled, what did Jesus pray? And it says this. This chapter is

crazy cool because it is the record of one of Jesus' prayers. We should be on

the edge of our seats for this. Jesus, being fully God and fully man, is the only

person to ever live who knows what it's like to pray to the Father in all kinds

of situations and emotions and also to hear and respond to the prayers of his

people. So what kinds of things did Jesus pray for? He prayed for us and he still

does. Let that mind blowing fact sink in for a second. Scripture tells us that

Jesus constantly in our seats for us, meaning he goes to the Father on our

behalf. So even when it feels like no one is on your team, no one has your back

and no one cares, no, that Jesus himself is praying for you. In this prayer,

Jesus asked for something really specific that we, his church, would be

unified. He prays in John 1723, I end them and you end me so that they may be
