Woo! It's usually really exciting for Mother's Day. Father's Day is like, woo

You know, but Mother's Day is like, woo! So I appreciate that and we love you

It's so good to have you join us for this special weekend where we honor fathers

And I really am excited to talk to you about God the Father. It's interesting that on Father's Day

We think of all of our

earthly fathers and my dad Joe's watching. I love you dad. Talk to you in a little bit

I've got a great dad who loves Jesus gets up every morning reads the Bible praise for me

I love him with all my heart and he's been a great dad and a great granddad and what happened in the history of the world is that our

Understanding of fathers was totally

revolutionized with one word. It's amazing how one word can change all of human history

Jesus Christ uses this word aaba or father

It's his favorite title for God previous to Jesus in the Old Testament for a few thousand years

God's people would talk about God

But they wouldn't use the word father on only 15 occasions in the entire Old Testament over the course of a few thousand years

Did God's people refer to God as father and it was them speaking nationally not individually and personally so it wasn't that

It wasn't that warm and it wasn't that friendly

Jesus comes along and all of human history changes and our understanding of father is altogether forever revolutionized
