Yes, you guys. Today we're reading a devotional titled a thousand generations and it's out of

Deuteronomy 7.9 and it says, understand therefore that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the

faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on

those who love him and obey his commands. The love letter from God says, be loved child. I am

bigger than you could possibly imagine. Let me give you a greater perspective on obedience. Your

faith lived out every day is not only for you. It's for future generations too. The prayers that

you pray for your family will echo through generations that come long after you. Every act of

obedience lays a stone for the next generation to stand on. Every hard choice that you make to

follow me helps to pave the way for those you love to follow me. Keep your eyes fixed on

eternity and your life will be driven by eternity. Your commitment to me will be a light to

lead your loved ones when they feel lost in the darkness. Don't doubt in the darkness what you

know to be true in the light of my word. That your life of faith will be the foundation on which

future generations will stand. That is my promise to you. Love your heavenly Father. The reflection

says, you don't need to receive praise from people for your faithfulness to God. God sees your

obedience. God's promises will be passed down through a thousand generations. Don't underestimate your

legacy of faith. The treasure of truth says, a life lived faithfully will be the foundation for a thousand
