Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

One of the questions that people most often ask pastors is,

how do I know God's will for my life? Implied in that question

is that it is difficult to find God's will. But in our study in Romans

chapter 12, we are seeing that it is really not that difficult. God doesn't

hide His will from us. In our study last time, we learned that the first

step in finding God's will is to give ourselves as a living sacrifice to God. As we join our teaching

in progress today, we are looking at an example of a living sacrifice from the Old Testament.

With our study, here now is Pastor John.

Now where do we see an example of a living sacrifice in the Scriptures? We see an example

of a living sacrifice there in Genesis 22. You know the story. Abraham took his son Isaac up

to Mount Moriah, today called Golgotha or Calvary.
