Most Christians would likely agree that God's way of doing things, while mysterious, is always best.

After all, he has our best interest in mind, and we benefit when we relinquish our destiny to him.

But here's the hard part.

His timing rarely matches ours.

His methods are sometimes unwieldy and unpleasant.

Well today, on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall continues his classic biographical series on Moses.

In this next study, we'll discover the consequences of resisting God's plan and the

I want to dedicate the message this evening to those who have little difficulty knowing the will of God,

but a lot of difficulty getting out of the way of God that He might do His will through you.

It is one thing to know and do the will of God. It's another

thing entirely to do it God's way. For example, he tells parents, train up a child in the way

he should go. And every Christian parent knows that God wants trained children. And in our mind

is the goal to train our children so that we might present to the world not savages, but

controlled adults. However, he has mapped out the way children are to be trained.

But we ignore that.

With that goal in mind to train our children,

we roll up our sleeves and we take it on,

and we usually train as we were trained.

We usually rear our children the way we were reared.

And in the process of doing the will of God, we get in God's way.

We do it our way, not God's way.
