Determining the will of God is a curious process. We hunt and search and explore, hoping to unravel

the mysteries of His will for our life. And then, once we discover what God wants, we sometimes resist, just as Moses

did. Today, on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall continues his biographical series on the life of

Moses. As we venture into Exodus chapter 3 and 4, we discover the timeless wisdom about hearing

God's voice, consenting to his will, and trusting him to provide.

Now the Lord said to Moses, verse 21, when you go back to Egypt, see that you do two things.

First, see that you perform all the wonders which I have put in your power.

But secondly, Moses, remember that I will harden the heart of Pharaoh and he will not let the people go.

Moses, don't be disillusioned. Perform all of the miracles that I will lead you to perform.

But I want you to know before you ever get there, Moses, his heart will be hardened because I plan to harden it.

Now, there's not a thinking person that reads that 21st verse.

It doesn't scratch his head and wonder exactly what is God doing.

Here's what it says.

O the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God,

how unsearchable are his judgments and his ways past finding out. The new ASB says, how unsearchable

are his judgments, how unfathomable His ways.
