John, this has been a heavy week.

First of all, we learned, of course,

a couple days ago of the death of six hostages

that have been held in Gaza since the October 7th attack,

including one American citizen. Those funerals were held, some of them this past weekend,

and the Israeli people, there have been major protests in Tel Aviv

pushing their government to somehow get you know the release of the rest of the

hostages it's just so you can just feel the morning in that country is is really palpable and then of course today you and I are recording us a little bit earlier than we typically do in the week

Today's Wednesday and today there was yet another school shooting. This was at a high school in Georgia it sounds like and as far as we know four people have died they've taken a suspect into custody. We don't know much else than that, but I just feel the heaviness this week.

Yeah, well, you know, you don't need to look very far to remember that the world has fallen and it's also something that undermines some

of the most well-meaning but most dangerous ideas which actually think differently about the human condition.
