Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you're ready to get

your mind aligned with the truth of God and we're looking at that for today, January 2nd.

As we start a new year, we want to put all of our hope in Jesus Christ.

And we want to look into his word to find out what he has to say to us.

out more. All right, we're in Romans Chapter 12, possibly one of my favorite passages in all the New Testament,

and it's a favorite because it's practical. I believe the Christian life in our understanding of it should be practical. If it's not practical, we don't

know how to live. We don't know what to do and all of the efforts that we're

making to change our mindset will be in vain.

So let's look again at Romans 12-1, which we looked at yesterday,

and we noticed first of all the Apostle Paul is appealing to us, that's a very strong word.

He's appealing to us as brothers and sisters in Jesus

Christ, and he's appealing based on all of the content that he has taught to us so far in the

Book of Romans.

So that has to do with how sin came into the world and how it's corrupted us all.

It has to do with how Jesus came into the world and how he has made a way for us to be redeemed. It has to do with the reality that we are

new creations in Christ. We now have the Holy Spirit of God living within us and we have the

opportunity to walk by the spirit and

carry out God's will in our lives. And it has to do with the fact that we are now grafted
