are ravished by the reality of the love of God in Jesus Christ, Christ objectively.

It's one thing to believe that the Father loves you.

It's another to experience his love.

So how does the fact of his love become an experience in our hearts?

There is more than one threat to your assurance. The first threat to your assurance that he's dealing

with is you might be a fake.

There are fake Christians probably in this room right now.

People who think they're Christians and they're not Christians.

They took over their so-called faith from their parents, they just absorbed it, or they chose it when they were eight or nine because everybody else was doing it, and they've never

met Christ in a saving way with the love of God poured out in their hearts

and their pride broken.

And that's a scary thought,

all of us have from time to time.
