Go please to 1 Peter 1.

First Peter 1 for some weeks, I think actually this is the 12th time.

We've been on this subject, the 12th part, that we're calling God's imperishable word seed.

And our text is here in 1 Peter, the first chapter.

1 Peter 1 says, verse 23, says we have been born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible

by the word of God which lives and abides forever.

How many believe you have been born again?

This is describing how it happened.

There's a similarity between the new birth of the inner man

and the birth and formation of your body.

And he's comparing and contrasting natural human seed to divine spirit seed.

Your and my body is the result of a human seed.

You wouldn't have a body.

Your body wouldn't exist, except for a human seed and a human mother.

But that seed is a corruptible seed.

Corruptible means can also be translated perishable.

Or that which decays, that which grows old, dies, decays.

Every human seed is a corruptible seed.

It reaches its full development and bloom, and then it starts to decay and dies.

But our inner man has been born again by a divine imperishable seed that cannot die,

that cannot age or decay.
