I just want to quickly mention that we need to keep our New Zealand neighbors in prayer

concerning a tsunami warning after a magnitude 7.4 earthquake, which is quite a powerful earthquake,

that struck central New Zealand just after midnight. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, it generated a tsunami

that hit the northeast coast of the South Island. New Zealand's Ministry of Civil Defense

and Emergency Management warned of the risk of destructive waves along the country's entire

east coast and urged residents in low-lying

areas to evacuate and seek higher ground. They're saying that it's reasonably

significant and that people should take it seriously. We know how that is here in

Hawaii. Unfortunately though I think that we've had so many warnings that and nothing happened

thankfully but it does bring up the potential for the boy who cried wolf I guess you might say.

So we'll just keep New Zealand in prayer. And for today, after much prayer and seeking the Lord, I was clearly directed to do something

different instead of a prophecy update and instead of our teaching in Second Corinthians, what the Lord I believe is directing me

and leading me to do is to speak very candidly and very openly and even very honestly

about three matters. The first is the turmoil in this country nationally. The second

is the turmoil within the Calvary Chapel movement corporately. And the third is the turmoil in

my family personally.

If you were to put a title on today's teaching would be something along the lines of God's

goodness in the midst of turmoil.

And I'm hoping you'll kindly allow me to share with you the hope and the encouragement and the goodness of God that which

he has ministered to me this last week, a week that will probably go down in the books,

at least for me personally as a week like no other, one for which I do not recall ever having
