It can be easy to forget all the difficulties of adolescents. I mean we all went through it and it's so hard and we probably sometimes forget we want to forget some of the difficulties.

But the truth is you can help your child navigate these terrifying years

as they become a team.

And it's really important to assure your kids,

I know what you're going through. I've been through that. It's normal. I'm John Fuller with Danny

Werta. He's a licensed clinical social worker and heads up our parenting department here at

Focus on the Family. And today we're going to begin with a

recorded conversation Jim Daly and I had with Danny and Jesse Manassian. She's an

author and youth speaker and together Danny and Jesse offered help for parents like you and me

who aren't always the most comfortable discussing topics like sexuality.

We need to acknowledge that going through puberty can be awkward. I mean that's what's so funny even as adults it feels awkward to talk about the talk right and I know some people are going to maybe write us or contact us and say you guys shouldn't be talking about this that's how bizarre it is but

let me put those fears to rest if I can which is to say the culture has your children so many

hours a day

bombarding them with advertisements and other things

through social media.

Let's, as Christians particularly,

let's spend a little bit of time thinking about

and strategizing how we can help our children

better navigate this area of their lives. And if you turn your back to your kids
