I want you to turn with me in your Bibles, please, to Psalms 87.

I want to talk about being born into worship.

And part of this has to do with my own experience and my own walk with the Lord.

So in Psalms 87, and in a few moments we'll turn over to Hebrews, so we'll turn to over to Hebrews so get ready to go over there Hebrew

chapter 12 you can just put your marker over there so when you get to Psalms 87, we'll begin to read it.

You can just follow along with me.

His foundation is in the Holy Mountains. Now obviously this is not God's foundation in the

sense that he needs the foundation. We all know God doesn't need anything to be built upon.

He is the foundation. But it is his foundation in the sense that he possesses it for his creation.

So we find that his foundation, whatever that foundation is, is found in the mountains of God.

We know that Jerusalem was built on several hills.

One of those hills is Zion. So follow with me the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than

all the dwellings of Jacob.

Now the gates of Zion have to do with this hill that's inside Jerusalem.

So often we hear Zion being related to Jerusalem itself, but Zion actually is a place inside Jerusalem.

And he said he loves the gates of Zion.

And Isaiah chapter 60 says the gates of Zion are praise.

Praise is the gates of Zion.

So we know that Zion has something to do with worship simply by this description in Isaiah chapter 60.

Then he goes on and says he loves these gates more than the dwellings of Jacob.
