We're going to start by reading from the Bible. So if you don't have this book, it's okay because the story is in the Bible. You'll be able to understand and follow along, especially if you know the story of Queen Esther.

It's a very popular story and a very loved one.

It's actually one of my favorite books in the Bible.

So we're going to go ahead and turn to Esther.

And we're going to start by reading chapter one.

And just so you know during this time in the Bible

is when the Jews were forced to leave and due to King

Napa canizer and they were now under the rulership of the Persian kingdom.

And so there are a lot of Jews that were living in that area at the time,

and that's where the story takes place.

So I'm going to start by reading Esther Chapter 1. I'm going to start at

verse 10 just to give you a little bit of background about her story. On the

seventh day when the king was feeling good from the wife. Okay, so the king was having this huge feast.

And during that time, the feast lasted for weeks.

It wasn't just like a one day party.

It would go on and on and on there'd be like just the most

luxurious wine and food and table settings and it was just like a great time and so the King was having this really huge feast and on the seventh day

when the King was feeling good from the wine when he was filling himself

King Ahasarius commanded Mejuman Bitza Harbana, Bigthra, Agbetha, Zetar, Harkas, and the seven units who served him, so these are the people who served

under him, he commanded them to bring out the Queen, Queen Vashti, before him him with her royal crown.

So he wanted to show off his wife, the Queen, to the people that were there.

And so he asked his servants to go get her.
