Father, this morning to hear the word in 1 Samuel that there were men of valor whose

hearts you had touched stirred me to want so much to receive the touch of God.

Men of valor whose hearts God had touched.

An amazing thought that the God of the universe would transcend space and time, cross it,

come to us and put his finger on our hearts and change them.

So by your word, through your spirit, stretch forth your mighty hand, and touch our hearts and create men and women of valor, I pray.

So guard us from error.

It's riveted on your word.

Open it to us.

Be our illuminating teacher and build our faith and strengthen our understanding.

We look for your touch now in Jesus' name. Amen. A little review to make sure we know where we're going and what we're up to.

I read that in 1987, 1987, and wondered if that could be true for God, even though he meant it for man.
