We all do what we believe in the moment will make us happiest.

Now sanctification is being so changed that you start trusting in God's way to make you happy.

God's prescription is a better doctor's prescription than the

prescription laid out in Clayboy magazine or on the TV or in Forbes magazine or anywhere else.

I've never met anyone who doesn't want to be happy.

We all do what we think will bring us joy.

It's just that we don't always trust that God knows how to get us there.

Woe to you teachers of the law. You load men with burdens hard to bear.

And you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.

Now, what's he saying here? He's saying there are Jewish teachers and Protestant teachers and Catholic teachers of the Bible, law, and they go around telling people what they ought to do.

Do this, do this, do this, do this.

And something's missing.

It's missing in two ways.

It's missing theologically, and it's usually missing personality-wise and empathy-wise and compassion-wise.

And what's missing is a little finger or an arm, forearm, to help.

I mean, if you're going to tell somebody not to lust, you just don't shake them and say, don't lust now and go out there and don't lust.
